3 Great Ways to Increase Your Water Intake

Water is one of the most important resources our body needs. In fact becoming dehydrated by just 3% can cause vertigo by making the fluid in the ear more thick. Chronic

dehydration can lead to arthritis in the joints, and even high blood pressure. Pretty amazing that something so simple can have an astounding affect on the body. This month I would like to share the book, “Your Body’s Many Cries for Water” by Dr Batmanghelidj

However just drinking gallons of water can be difficult, and here are some ways to make it easier.


  1. Replace your other Drinks with Water!

    1. Teas, Coffee, Sodas, Sparkling water, and Juice do not count as water.

    2. Drink High quality purified water.

    3. Start and end your day with water.

    4. Drink before, between and after meals.

    5. Goal is to drink 1/2 your body weight in ounces.

  2. Eat Raw Veggies and Fruits

    1. Increase daily intake of high water veggies and fruits.

    2. ex: Apples, Pears, Watermelon, Cucumbers, Celery, Carrots, Radishes, and Lettuces or anything that is juicy has a high water content and will not take away from hydration - Make sure it is Organic!

  3. Cut out Processed and Dehydrated foods

    1. These food have no water content.

    2. Require the digestive system to hydrate the food in order to digest it which creates a hydration deficit.

    3. Limit Processed and Dehydrated foods will enhance your water intake.

These 3 simple tips are easy ways to increase and enhance your hydration so that you get the most out of your water!
