Massage.
Orthopedic Massage is a combination of tissue manipulation (consisiting of Neuromuscular Therapy and Myofascial Release) with active and passive stretching to balance the body and place the body into efficient posture.
In orthopedic massage tight muscles are identified, released and stretched. Muscles that are weak are addressed with different massage techniques and encouraged to be strengthened. This precise way of strengthening and stretching brings balance to the joint or body.
Increased balance around a joint developes strength which results stabilization of the joint. Stabilized joints promotes further developement of soft tissue developement which enhances performance in an athlete. By stabilizing joints the athlete is able to attain optimal range of motion, workout harder and longer with minimal exposure to injuries.
